Surviving the Wild (3): Shelter and Kits

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this workshop (Part 3 of a 3 part series), we will focus on the basic principles of shelter as well as a hands-on discussion of how to assemble your own personal survival kit. One of the critical survival priorities is always shelter. Shelter protects you from losing critical body heat in the cold or wet and can protect you from the sun in a hot, dry climate. Basic principles apply to shelter in any climate based on the priorities of that climate. We will discuss these principles. Knowledge can be the key to survival but you should always travel with a personal survival kit. Mark will go through various complete kits that he has and will walk you through a checklist for how to develop your own personal survival kit and tailor it to your needs.
