Over the last 30 years, Alan has been a self employed landlord, building inspector, renovator, teacher, community builder, & mentor. Fifteen years ago, he started (and still organizes) two large, Phila. Region, alternative relationship discussion & social groups, with a combined membership of approx. 1,000 members. He has also been very active in the Burning Man community, where he creates safe space to discuss these topics. Currently, he lives with multiple co-residents of 4 adjoining houses he owns, where he continues to teach, build community, practice urban chicken ranching, and occasionally garden.
